Partnership Dominoes is a highly popular game in Spain and Latin America. It is played with four players in fixed partnerships, where partners sit facing each other. The objective of the game is for a team to reach a specific number of points, typically 100, before the opposing team, in order to win.
In each deal, all the tiles are dealt to the four players, with each player receiving 7 tiles. The first player to begin is the one with the [6-6] tile, and in subsequent deals, the turn passes to the next player on the right, who can start with any tile of their choice.
Each player takes turns adding a tile to the layout. The played dominoes form a single line, connecting end to end, with touching ends having the same number. Players must play a tile if they can legally do so; otherwise, they must pass.
The deal is won by the team whose first player plays all of their tiles. In the case of a blocked game, the team with the lower total number of pips on their unplayed tiles wins. If there is a tie in pip count, the game is considered a tie and no team scores. The winners score points based on the total number of pips on their unplayed tiles.
“Partnership Dominoes” is a conversion of the aforementioned dominoes game. Currently, only individual gameplay is available, although players can choose their partner and opponents from a selection of available bots. This can be done by selecting the avatar that you wish to change in the configuration screen.
A bot can play dominoes at three different difficulty levels: basic (1-star), average (2-stars), or good (3-stars). The overall game difficulty will depend on the bots selected, ranging from 2 stars to 8 stars. It's worth noting that bots will spend more time making decisions if they have multiple tiles to play, but will react faster if they have only one tile left.
During the game, players can drag the tile they want to play to the desired end of the layout and release it.
“Partnership Dominoes” offers extensive versatility and customization options, including:
- Choosing your partner and opponents from a pool of 16 bots
- Three artificial intelligence levels
